Position:                      Sales Executive, Plastic Cards
Reporting:                   Vice President, Sales
Location:                     Prefer Chicago, but major metro candidates will be considered

The Company

This company is a leading provider of Direct Marketing Supply Chain Management that applies extensive institutional knowledge and highly developed skill sets to the process of producing marketing programs across every marketing channel.

The Position

The successful candidate will be a charismatic, high performance individual with potential to grow into a consultative expert, helping clients fully realize the value of partnering with this company on their non-core marketing functions.

Responsibilities

Analyze the plastic card industry segment, which includes gift cards, loyalty cards, etc., to identify key opportunities, and open the door to future potential by conveying the unique value offering to help clients achieve their objectives. Develop existing relationships into more strategic partnerships, cultivate trust and relationships at the executive level, and promote new solutions and offerings. Bring demonstrated client-service skills, manage day-to-day activities with our operations staff, and ensure satisfied customers become future references.

  • Verifiable successful experience in all sales activities, including lead generation, prospecting, qualifying, new business pitches, preparation of sales materials and communications, client interaction and entertaining, and the other duties required to successfully manage and develop territories and key accounts
  • Ability to provide client feedback and competitive insights to sales management regarding customer requirements, new programs, special features and strategic initiatives
  • Past success in selling “everything on the truck” to clients
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • BA/BS degree preferred
  • 3 – 5 years relevant solution/consultative sales experience
  • Established senior level contacts within mid to large size clients essential
  • Demonstrated and consistent success at exceeding ambitious revenue targets
  • Combination of large and small company experience is preferred
  • Experience in plastic card industry, including loyalty and gift card programs
  • Knowledge of direct mail industry preferred
